Can you stall an F1 racer?

yep

of course, haven't you seen all the times the McLaren cars stalled on the grid.

they do that all the time during pit stop and shit....but they don't usually stall when the spun since they have a anti-stall device for times like that, a button they have to press....

but is it the same kinda stall as say in a road car...why can't they just crank it again. I thought that the paddle shifters were clutch-less and u just tap to up/down shift.

They still have clutch, from neutral to get in gear they have to press a small peddle at the back to engage clutch, and then they could use the peddle shifter....

i for one stall my bimmer a few time ever since i got it...(and the damn thing got auto trans!!!).

well they can if the F1 bastards got a starter. thats why you everytime they stall the car, the mechanic with a Bosch water pump 'look-alike' machine running out and stick it up the car arse.

And if you spun out and stall the engine, you are as good as DNF....

i think FIA didnt make starters compulsary as the lesser cars on the track, they less chances of ppl getting killed...

in one occasion reverse the car pretty fast and then switch to drive before it manage to stop and the car just went dead....

in another one i hold the brake pedel and gas @ the same time try to quick launch the car and again it went dead. it was quite bizzare since the 328 uses a FBW throttle:confused:
