did any of you guys go? yet?

well......i went w/ some friends (tried to get a hold of u ruch...to tell u that i might have seen u there....but i couldn't)...

i didn't see anything very special in particular.....but i did like:

-IS300 sportscross
-manual IS300
-911 GT2 (HOLY **** did u see the size of those brake calipers)
-that X5 4.6is (very bad ass)
-the Z8 and the M3 (convertible and the sedan)
-new Altima
-that 2002 Z06
-MB c coupe
-SLK 32 and the C32...as well as the CL600
-and.......i dunno..what else was there?
-OH YEAH...the SALEEN S7!!! **** ME THAT THING WAS sEXY.

i wish that they had:

-the new Z
-an RX8
-a new supra? maybe?
-a newer NSX
-perhaps a preview of a new Eclass (my god the existing body style is getting OLD)
-the New 7er
-perhaps the new SL Mercedes
-.........what else?

overall....a pretty good show....but i thought it could have been better.

Yeah I went today. You should have called my cell dude. Anyways, I liked the IS300 manual, the M3, the Altima, and the Porsche GT2. Other than that, nothing really caught my attention or affection. Even the Civic Si which looked like it was styled by a baby. What I really loved was the race spec Mini, BMW 2002, Lancia (I think 1750GTV) and the Mk.I Ford Cortina. I was amazed at how little there was to like for 2002 cars. They missed too many cars, I didn't see the new 7 nor did I see the SVT Focus or any other up coming cars I was looking forward to seeing. There was an Audi RS4 though which was tight. MB, GM, Toyota, Surprisingly Honda (par S2000 which isn't new for 2002) too had a line up of pure crap cars.

new cars ARE kinda ugly

that RS4 was BADASS as well..

i didn't get to play GT3 though b/c those stupid little kits were hogging it... :D

really....they did miss quite a few cars..toyota, GM, and honda's cars (except for the S2k) were all crap...

why the hell was lexus doing a "show case" on the new SC430....everyone knows about that already....they should have done it on a different car...

I stopped going to those shows because they just show current cars. Never anything revloutionary, no concepts ect...

welllll........i did get to sit in an X5 w/ a 4.6liter 340hp V8......don't get to that everyday now do u?

As soon as I saw the X5 had a 4.6 engine, I looked for a 5er with the same engine and you know what? I didn't see one so I didn't care.

carshows used be "showing off" now is all marketing

btw...why the hell don't these people let us sit in the supercars that we want to sit in?

Why can't they allow people to sit in aston martins.....ferraris.....porsches.....?

Nobody really gives a **** about how the new GMC yukon's interior feels/looks....its the supercars that make people go wild.....

HAHAHAHAH yea right, some little kid is gonna sit in it and **** with the stick and steering wheel...

but they should...at least...make the windows a way that we can see the inside clear

here at the LA auto show they have many concepts in fact they had this concept that dodge was making called the copper head it was in 1996 when i went they first unveiled it but it never went into production i wonder why any one have any clue ?
