I don't know bikes well, but there was a guy at my friend's Tat shop who said his Kawasaki (I don't know the model) could take a Hyabussa in the 1/4 stock, but his was worked...
Isn't the Hyabussa (I don't know how to spell it) the fastest top end bike?

220 with the govenor off.
Haybusa has a 2.? second 0-60 time. I believe it was 2.3. It's a big engine, and a heavy bike too. A stream lined, featherweight like the R1 may have a faster number. With the right rear tire and spring, you could launch 0-60 in the sub 2 second range without wheelie bars, but I think only a professional could pull it off.
Anyone who knows how to shift can go 0-60 in 3 seconds on an sport bike.

The ZX-12R might be able to pull off a low 2 #.

hayabusa followed by zx12r followed by R1 and 996 by ducati.
displacements are 1.3 liters, 1.2 liters, 1 liter, and .996 respectively, busa will run a 9.87 stock if yo ucan find someone that drives it right, zx12r runs like a 10.2, r1 runs mid 10's and ducati is mid to high 10s i believe the busa is heavy but extremely aerodynamic, when kawasaki told the engineers to find the "ultimate aerodynamics" for their new bike (the zx12r) they came out with a shape nearly identical to the busa and had to change it.

my cousin races hayabusa and his is alot lighter than stock. i think he had lighter wheels, bodywork, various engine components, exhaust, and seats. he says its a much better bike than stock. much more nimble, but he didnt notice a very big acceleration gain.

The ducati 996 has a slow top speed on it. MY friend had his 996 wide open for 30 seconds and it topped out a hair under 170.
