hi.
I'm really interested in working w/ car stereo components and things of this sort and eventually maybe adding a better system to one of our cars.
The problem is..................................i don't really know a damn thing about how this whole system works.
could someone give me the whole "shabang"?...
i know its a bitch....but any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Well I know some stuff about components.........
What do u wanna know?
Besides that they basically come with the speakers itself, crossovers, and require an amp to power them up.........
Other than that, it's nothing much to it.....
I want to replace the front components in my Lude but components cost a lot, even for decent ones.................. Then there's the amp cost too.............
Anything else that I missed out on??
latez........

OK... the deck is the part that bolts in the dashboard of your car, and the faceplate is the thingy you can pull off when you leave your car... :D
Honestly, I'm in the same boat as you guys... I'd like to learn some of this stuff too...

Keep going hondamatic.... I'm dying for the next lesson in extreme car audio from u :D
The deck is the actual stereo, the faceplate (removable or not) is the front panel where it has the controls/functions whatnots....
Preamp outputs = connections that are located at the back of the deck that have extra capabilities such as adding amplifiers, mp3 players, etc....
Wiring harness = A bunch of wires with connectors that match ur car's factory wires so that u will be able to connect any aftermarket stereo with factory wires....
*Taking a piss break*
Anymore questions?
Damn MKIVTT's a good teacher :D :D :D :D

Componet speakers are two seperate speakers that consist of a midrange and a tweeter. and a cross over sends the different frequencies to the correct speaker. For instace the high frew. go to the tweeter, mid range freq. go to the midrange speaker and low freq. go to the subwoofer. And A Coaxial speaker has the tweeter seperate from the midrange but the tweeter is mounted to the speker to save space.

Also don't get cone tweeters they sucks, always get dome tweeters.
