My friend found a station about 15 miles away from me that sells 100 octance for $3.99 a gallon. Ive been considering that the next time I run my tank empty Imma drive over there and get some of it. What kind of performance difference should I see? Should I even bother?

I think you should... Then race people... till you run out of gas.

Unless, you're chipped and your car is highly tuned, the difference will be small, but I know cars like the M3 see a 10 percent gain in HP.

I'm sure the I6 in the M3 is highly tuned... in order to make such an hp/l..
really? 100 octane? Wow. Thats kinda cool.
3.99/gal is a good amt of cash though...

at speedworld in florida you can get 110 octane for 5 bucks a gallon and 112 for 6 bucks a gallon (leaded)

you could try it, but i doubt the gain in performance will be that great. most car engines are designed to adjust to different grades of fuel, but i think 100 octane might be higher than what the engine could adjust to. it's mostly used for engines with racing tune.

the change in performance wont be anything huge, but you should give it a try.

i dun think it would be much at all, your car is designed to make optimum power on 92 i believe, i dont think it would help or harm it but its worth a try, if you had a turbo you could run higher boost with a higher octane gas but i dun think u hav a turbo.

i was actually gonna try that too. There's a place by me that sells 100. I'll let you know if i get a noticeable difference.
Europear high performance cars (M5, M3, Porsche etc) are designed to run best on 98 RON octane fuel, so if you have one of these vehicles, and the fuel really is 100 octane, then expect a reasonable difference.
