ok hes the skinny i have a 89 ford probe gt (turbo intercooled) and i got from a friend as a xmas present he bought it for 300 dollars ok...well the guy that sold it said he was changing the plugs and it SHOT one out of the block. well we looked the hole was not stripped so we test fitted a plug went in fine no cross thrededness or anything like that well he was gonna swap the block cause his friend bought the samething but all he needed was the tranny ok. well so he was gonna swap the blocks but got lazy and got the thing half taken apart. well my friend bought it cause he was lookin in the swap sheet and saw TRUBO and $300 and was like ok ima buy it. well he got lazy and didn't even start doing anything to it. so after xmas a couple of us from our car club were crusin around and we stopped to get food. well while we were eatin' he looks to me cause i was gonna buy it for like $100 bucks and he says "durt u can have the probe" i was like "woot". well i started work on it like 2 weeks ago and i put it tougeter as far as i can tell i mated everything i could find to the according plug and hose to the place they went. so the other night my friend im's me and says "dude im gettin that neon" (cause our friend owns a small home dealership and goes to auctions and he got a all decked out neon) and i say "cool" and he says "just lettin u know u have to get that car outta my yard by sunday" (it was wenesday) "i said how" he said"i don't care but if u don't have it outta there by sunday its gonna be gone my way!". so i finally got a battery today to try to do some diagnostics and it will not start....i check to see if i was getting gas and to see if the fuel pump was workin i pulled off the hose from the fuel filter and got a face full of gas. yep im getting gas. i checked to see if i was getting spark(note i did this before checking the gas) and i have spark from all 4 cyclinders. so i got spark. i made sure i had the wires in the right fireing order yes thanks to my chiltons manual. the injectors are pluged in it turns over but won't fire. i have a list of the things it maybe that i have though of while being home. i think maybe my exaust is pluged although i think it would try to fire. maybe i have no cam belt. i'm pretty sure i do though. maybe it won't run with out the O2 sencor hooked up (cause the wire broke off) but if they go bad i thought then u must be able to run with out it pluged in. maybe and this is the big thing i think it maybe...since the guy also disconnected the clutch slave cyclinder and i have yet to hook it back up maybe the clutch is engaged and it won't fire but i also think if it is engaged i don't think it would be able to turn over cause of the load....but its friday so i need a responce asap i have class in the morning till 1 but i will be online any help would be much apperaciated because i would hate to see this car go to waste...and if ur the one with the corect soloutin i would gladly give u the other block complete with turbo manafold turbo and down pipe...PLZ HELP
