I've got a 2000 s-10 chevy single cab 2.2L 4 cylinder truck with normal size bed. I am trying to figure out what to do with my tax return this year ;) I was thinking of doing some minor things to my truck to make it look nicer and maybe have some more power...

I don't know much about trucks and I'm looking for some advice - I want to get a bed cover for my truck, probably just the snap on one - I just need something to cover my truck bed that will block out rain/snow/etc. I hate never having enough room to carry anything with my single cab and I don't want to get a topper so I figured the bed cover would be the best alternative. Anyone know of a good, yet cheap, bed cover? I need something that won't tear or rip and is strong but I'm not looking to spend too much money.

The next thing on my list is probably some new wheels for my truck, I've got 15s on my truck(stock) and I just got new tires so I think I'm going to just stick with 15s. I know there are different types of wheels(like material it's made of) and I wanna know if anyone knows some good places to find info on them, or recommendations.

After those modifications I figured I'd go for some more power. I hate the hills here in colorado so I want to get some more power if I can. I want to go for some intake, exhaust, etc... what's the cheapest route to go for my truck??

Like I said, I'm new to the scene so if you guys know of some good places on the net to look for reviews, forums, whatever, please link them and I'll look through them. I'm pretty much a car nub, and I want to learn how to do stuff myself - if you guys know any good resources, then let me know! Sorry for the long post. Thanks!

I really like gaylord tonneau covers, although they are definitely not cheap.

As for looks, start off with getting everything paint matched (get new mirrors, door handles matched, etc) and then move into rims and tires.

As for performance, there isn't much out there for the 4 cylinder s-10. The 4.3L v6 has a lot more options available, but there are a few small things you can do (intake, exhaust, etc)

Good luck and post some pics
