Just how rediculous and over-complicated do we need to make things, really?

WOW...... that is pretty insane. Takes way too long IMO, but I guess those people who want a hard top converatable will enjoy the ease of change. :dunno:

Shit and I thought the old Mercedes 500 SL Roadster we had, had a complicated design when changing it from hard top to convertable.

hmmm
Use to take me that long to put my hard top in the garage, pull my back out and chip the paint on the corner of the top.
I think this is cool engineering.
1. It makes the demo that is looking at this car ooo and ahhhh.
2. It will make their next door neighbor do it once... big selling point in this demographic.
3. No way it can't break down within 10 years.
Most likely the week after the warranty expires. This means returning revenues.
4. It makes sure you either have no trunk space or that granny will squicsh anything that may be in the trunk when she opens the top to pimp it. This paves a foundation for future sales of their SUV line.

hey grinner (sorry to get off topic) thats a nice looking magnum. i watched your video. nicely done. it looks like you had that thing to the track. what did you run? i rented a magnum for a long 12 hour drive (non-hemi) and i thought it was a pretty nice ride, minus the uncomfortable seat.

the idea is kinda cool. that would suck if it broke though. my uncles porche convertable top broke midway through and he drove around for a week holding the top so it wouldn't fall down. Could you inagine trying to hold that thing down? YIKES!
