What is a good exhaust. I want something not to loud and not too soft. I like performance sounding exhausts. I want an exhaust that will sound nice that nobody will confuse with a Honda exhaust from AutoZone if you know what I mean. (no offense to the Hondas)

HKS or Blitz will make the most power. They are loud but you can get silencers for them. The WRX wont sound like a farting honda. The 2, 2.5 L makes a deeper rumble. I myself am getting the HKS come spring. Sure any without the huge coffee can type mufflers will be quieter. Like Borla or Prodrive.

Hmmm....power is good....sound is better....I don't wanna be too loud and like STi_Lover said "performance sounding" I just need lots of help because I wanted to order it by this Friday to have it in time for the track.

yah if you want quiet definately don't go for hks or blitz unless you get the blitz nur spec t that's quieter than the spec r...Your best bet for a quiet exhaust is the borla hush....I also believe it is the same design as the prodrive...don't quote me on that but I think it is...The greddy evo 2 is also a fairly quiet exhaust...but the loudest would deff be the hks hi power, blitz nur spec r, and the rsr ex mag gt2....

I think the WRX sounds damn good with a straight-thru exhaust. My friend has a modded WRX with a straight-thru from the first cat back.

I did a 3" straight through dump for a friend, was about 6" long after the DP. Sounded like a John Deer on crack.

I'm completely catless and I love the way my car sounds...But if you are looking for a car that's not loud it certainly wouldn't be mine

I have the HKS Carbon Ti catback with a helix catless downpipe and it sounds f#ck mean!!

Not as mean as the JIC though......... :(
