Hi, I have a '97 Jetta and the driver's side door will not open. My dad (who is a pretty handy guy) says he can't fix it if he can't get it open. Has anyone else ever had this problem or does anyone know of a solution? I would be very greatful for any suggestions!

The door is completely stuck? I've never had that happen before so I am not much help, maybe someone else can point you in the right direction.

Alright so I am guessing that both the inside and outside door handles dont do anything. I would first take the door panel apart where the inside handle is and try to grab the wire that would normally open the door manually and see if that works otherwise you are going to have to figure out a way to get the whole door panel off to manually open the door
