Hey guys, I just bought a A6 wagon, has just under 100k on her, how good are these 2.8 engines, and is there anything that I should do to it? Car is in great shape and looks brand new. Thanks, :thefinger Opps, wrong icon, ;)

Congrats on the purchase.....
As for maintenance I would check the owners manual and see what maintenance the manufacturer suggests at that mileage. Here is a general guide of what you should take care of at that mileage:
1. Perform a general tune-up - checking plugs, plug wires, belts, coolant, filters and timing - plus all inspections done at 50,000 miles (see "Maintain a Car at 50,000 Miles," under Related eHows).
2. While lying on your back, check under the car for rust.
3. Check the alignment and wheel bearings. Have the alignment adjusted by a mechanic as needed. Replace bearings if worn (see "Diagnose an Alignment Problem," under Related eHows.).
4. Have a mechanic check the engine's compression.
5. Check the hoses for corrosion.
6. Check the paint for scratches or peeling. Touch up as needed.
7. Replace steering wheel covers, floor mats and seat covers as needed.
Tips:
Many modern cars should run almost like new at 100,000 miles.

The 2.8 is a great motor. Be careful about plugs, wires, coil common sore spots. But overall since its a timing chain motor no worries on a stupid belt breaking. Just do all the basics and you will be fine. Have the control arms checked they like to go out on those years but other than that its a soild car
