I have a 96 GMC Jimmy. The dome light normally goes off either after a 20 second delay, or when the ignition key is turned on. I have checked all door switches and fuses. I don't have an over-ride for the lights, there is a switch on the cargo area light, but that works fine, when the back door is open. Is there a module for the delay, and if so, where is it located? I have three modules (or relays) in the glove box, but they all seem to be fine.
Thank you,
Kevin

You're positive nothing is ajar at all correct? As for a dome light over ride on a Jimmy, there should be one (it is the button on the left side of the dash by the light switch) and you can turn them off and on. However, that won't solve your problem if it won't turn off at all.
The delay module should be at the back of the glove box (if memory serves me right)
Just for clarification, is the dome light staying on at all times or is it taking longer than 20 seconds to turn off?

It sounds as if the contact for one of the door switches isnt lining up correctly. Check to make sure they line up with the part that is suppose to close them then check the relay in the glove box
