I've heard rumors that the 5th Gen Camaro will be at the NAIAS in Detroit, January 2006. Anyone heard about this?

I was reading that somewhere earlier today, hope it's true. I can't wait to see it.

I find it hard to believe that they could be that close to a public debut, without there having been any spy photos or rumors.

It's been around the rumor mill. Just depends on if it happens. I know I will have my ear to the ground might even head out to see.

I've been seeing more confirmation of this from credible sources, so I'm going to retract my skepticism.
There is some doubt about whether they can legally use the name Camaro though. Apparently there is some agreement with the town in Quebec where the Camaro/Firebird were built, that they can't use either of those names for some specified period of time. The name "Chevelle" seems to be a possible alternative.

heard the same ting. production could be as late as 2009 :eyeroll: If it meets my liking, I'll help GM out and get one around that time.
