i have a 95 explorer. i ran out of gas the other day about 20 feet from the gas station...anyways my overdrive signal has been flashing on/off since. it says to get this serviced as soon as possible before screwing up the transmission. i was just wondering if anyone knew a reason it keeps flashing and how to fix it? thank you in advance

For now try disconecting the battery and that will reset your cars computer if that doesn't work it may not be related and you should just take your car in to the dealer and have it looked at.

sorry im a noob with cars how do i do that? just unscrew and unattach the cords?
